    The biggest problem in today’s dog food world is the amount of misinformation being published by some of the major food brands. Some of the recent advertisement on the television and internet are flat out marketing lies bent on making an un-suspected consumer buy their low-quality products. Most of them though are just keeping the important dog food information away from the dog owners. This article’s purpose is to dispel the myths associated with the dog food ingredients, we will discuss the important dog food ingredients as well as the one’s you should try and keep away from your dogs’ diet.

    This is the list of ingredients which are good for your dog. A good dog food will have at least a few of these if not most of them. These are the things you should look for when buying a dog food. This list is not in any order of importance, as all of these are important to a healthy dog diet.

  • Inferior protein which consists of but not limited to variations of the following: Wheat, Corn, Chicken by-products, Soy, Gluten. These ingredients are hard to digest and can cause health problems later on if used for a long period of time.
  • Sugar, some of the popular dog foods, which are sold at places like Publix and Wal-Mart, have a large amount of sugar in their content. It is a reason why some dogs absolutely love to eat that dog food. It is very bad for their teeth though and serves no useful purpose.

    The most important thing in your dog’s life can be the food you give it. Choose a healthy food and your dog will live a healthy long life, but if you choose a dog food which is made with profits in mind and not the dogs health you maybe slowly poisoning your dog.
